"JAIL'S NOT THE PLACE TO HIDE THE HOMELESS" - A COMPASSIONATE VIEW OF THE HOMELESS OF DUNCAN PLAZA, NEW ORLEANS


This posting was published on December 10, 2007 - in my desire to create continuity and flow, I have posted it at this earlier date. .



It has always felt important to extend to the homeless who are suffering in 'plain' sight the dignity of being 'seen'. Yet I have been at a loss at how to do so with a camera. The people who filmed the following video - IN MY DREAMS - were able to "see" the homeless with a depth of compassion that is rare and profound.
