AMERICANS FOR GULF COAST RECOVERY

Over two years after Hurricane Katrina obliterated the Gulf Coast, thousands of residents are still displaced. With over 300,000 homes destroyed, housing is the largest obstacle to recovery. Due to a dearth in affordable housing stock, barriers to funding for homeowners, and the majority of public housing still shuttered and facing demolition, long-term healthy alternatives remain illusive for those who wish to return.

Here's what you can do!

NATIONAL:
You can help Gulf Coast residents ensure passage of the Gulf Coast Housing Recovery Act by calling your Senator and urging them to support the Gulf Coast Housing Recovery Act. If you are registered to vote in Louisiana, Alabama or Mississippi, your call is especially important

Contact Senator Vitter:
DC Office: (202) 224-4623
Baton Rouge Office: (225) 383-0331
